“Rochester Burners” was an odd name connoting more unity and conformity than we have or rightly and wisely ought have. We who burn just differ. About all we have in common might be our wish to visit Black Rock City or a regional burn, either again or as a newbie, or that Burning Man might fulfill its transformative role, and that we have some loyal or strange affinity for our home here.

Despite sounding like an arsonist's cry, “Burning Rochester” feels more apt and connotes no such conformity. Changing our handle under Tribe policy now, however, would destroy the old subdomain and its links here.
